Human Anatomy Diagram
One great activity to teach your students the parts of a human anatomy diagram is to give them a workbook. Have the different parts labeled. Make sure the workbook has instructions on what to do. For example several workbooks will have the students color certain parts of the human body. In other workbooks it will have students fill in the blanks about what action organs preform in the body. You can get these workbooks from many college bookstores as well as online at places like Amazon. Your students will love being able to color in their workbooks while learning all about the human body and how it works.
A great game to play that teaches children about human anatomy is pinning the organ on the dummy. For this game split your students into two teams. Give each team laminated pictures of organs. On the other side of the class room hang a picture of a human body without any organs pictured. When you say go have the first student run and put the organ in the place that they think it goes. Then have them run back and tag the next person. The team that gets the most organs in the correct place wins. If it’s a tie then the first team that had the organs placed wins. Then you can hang the human anatomy diagram in the classroom.
When teaching children about anatomy there is nothing more important than teaching them the parts on a human anatomy diagram. Your students will learn more by using fun activities and games to teach them all about the human anatomy diagram. Here are some great activities.
Another great game is name that bone. For this activity you will need a couple human skeletons. Place numbers on the bones that you want your students to identify. Then split your students into two teams. Give each of the teams one sheet with the numbers in a list with a blank next to the numbers. When you say go each team must look at their skeleton and figure out as a team what the name of the bone is. Then they must place the name by the number it corresponds with. The team that gets the most bones correctly identified wins the game.
Human Anatomy Diagram – Conclusion
The last activity that would be great is to have them make their own diagram. Have each student draw their own diagram of a part of the body. For example a student could make a diagram of the human eye. Then have them color the eyes parts as well as label the different parts of the eye. Then each student can present their diagram to the class. By using these human body diagram lesson plans your students will have a lot of fun. They will not only be having fun but they will be learning all they need to know about the human body. Your class will be really excited to do these great activities. So what are you waiting for?
